In brief

The 12th Gulfood Manufacturing exhibition in Dubai highlighted advanced production technologies that could improve food security. Industry leaders noted strong international attendance and serious commercial engagement, while the event showcased solutions to optimise resource use and operational resilience. The next edition will move to Dubai Exhibition Centre in 2027.

The 12th edition of Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 concluded on 6 November 2026 in the Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing exhibitors that showcased advanced production technologies aimed at strengthening food security across the whole supply chain.

WAM reported that the event, part of a cluster of four co‑located exhibitions—GulfHost, ISM Middle East and Private Label Middle East—connected the entire food production, retail and hospitality value chain, from ingredients and processing to packaging, automation and foodservice equipment.

Mark Napier, Vice President of inD, told WAM that the show had highlighted the continued strength of the global food manufacturing industry, with “exceptional international attendance and an outstanding calibre of buyers.”

“What has been particularly encouraging is the level of serious commercial engagement on the show floor, with decision‑makers exploring new production lines, evaluating major equipment investments and progressing real business opportunities.”

Napier added that strong international participation reflected Dubai’s resilience and its ability to support global business amid economic and geopolitical uncertainty, stressing that food security requires a reliable network of factories, equipment, ingredients and logistics services.

The exhibition unveiled technologies and solutions aimed at improving productivity, maintaining product quality, optimising resource consumption and reducing operating costs. These advances, WAM noted, help manufacturers strengthen efficiency and operational resilience, enabling them to adapt to changing market demands and develop more efficient, future‑ready facilities.

WAM highlighted that the focus on integrated approaches—combining advanced automation, data analytics and sustainability‑oriented processes—could address evolving manufacturing priorities across the industry. By improving production efficiency and optimising resource use, the showcased solutions are positioned to support manufacturers in meeting rising consumer demands and tightening regulatory pressures.

Industry analysts observed that the level of serious commercial engagement on the show floor was unprecedented, with buyers actively negotiating investment deals that could see new production lines installed within the next 12 to 24 months.

WAM also reported that the event’s emphasis on resilience resonated with global visitors, many of whom cited supply‑chain disruptions and climate‑related risks as key concerns. The showcased technologies aim to mitigate these risks by allowing manufacturers to adjust operational parameters in real time and reduce reliance on vulnerable resources.

While the exhibition concluded in 2026, WAM announced that Gulfood Manufacturing will move to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai for its next edition, scheduled for 1 to 3 November 2027.

The moving of the event to the new venue is expected to increase capacity for exhibitors and visitors, positioning the conference cluster to continue serving as a barometer of industry trends and a catalyst for technology adoption.

Overall, the 12th edition of Gulfood Manufacturing provided a platform for industry leaders to demonstrate how integrated technologies can enhance food security by boosting productivity, reducing costs and fostering resilience across the food production spectrum.
